LUDO, THE WAY THE BACKYARD REMEMBERS IT

The classic “Ludo / Don’t Get Angry” mechanics, born from a hand-drawn backyard board. You get it in a second — the fun is in the details: portal shortcuts, extra-move cells, safe houses, and a toilet that only lets you out on 1 → 2 → 3.

Play at the table with the whole family, against bots — or online with a room code and table chat.

What’s inside

Rules you already know

Roll the dice, march your piece, overtake your rivals. Nothing to explain — even grandma sits right down.

🌀

Portals and traps

Shortcut ramps fling you across half the board, the toilet sucks you in and only releases on 1 → 2 → 3. Backyard depth the classic never had.

🤖

Bots included

No one around to play? The computer takes any colour — even one human versus three bots.

A neat native interface that won’t blind you at night or fade in daylight.

Step 2 — Roll the dice

Two dice per turn: the higher one moves first. A double grants another turn, a “6” brings a piece out of base.

Step 3 — Walk everyone home

Heard at the table

★★★★★

Just like that old board from the balcony, except nobody loses pieces under the couch. My daughter has beaten me three evenings straight.

Red, head of the family
★★★★★

Hopped in for “one quick game” with bots. Woke up an hour later stuck in the toilet cell, rolling a one for the fourth turn in a row.

Blue, plays on the subway
★★★★★

Four of us from three cities set up a room in under a minute. The chat exists purely to apologise for chopped pieces.
